Penn State Extension offers virtual cooking class on Mediterranean eating

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State Extension will offer a tasty trip to the Mediterranean as part of its “Let’s Cook at Home” virtual cooking class series.

“Let’s Cook at Home: Mediterranean” will take place from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, online. The Mediterranean diet has been ranked as the Best Overall Diet for the last five years by U.S. News & World Report as well as the No. 1 heart-healthy diet, diabetes diet, and even the “easiest to follow diet."

The “Let’s Cook at Home with Penn State Extension” classes address nutrition, healthy shopping, time saving tips and more, so cooks of all skill levels can navigate around the kitchen with confidence.

There are multiple “Let’s Cook” classes, focusing on a range of subjects, including special diets, weight management, and cooking for one or two, to name a few.
